Truth Knows No Opinion
Truth never changes; it is absolute. Two thousand years ago a man drove up in a chariot and committed adultery; today he drives up in a car. The mode of transport has changed, but not the motivation. No matter how many years pass, the nature of evil remains constant. However, the moral law of God and the truth of His Word never change.Audio Options: | MP3 |
Truth Knows No Opinion
Satan's diabolic plan for man has been to destroy the absolutes. God's Word is absolute. Satan challenged it in the Garden of Eden and, unfortunately, as far as mankind is concerned, Satan was highly successful.
GOD SAID in Psalms Chapter 117, Verse 2:
For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD.
The truth of the LORD endures forever. It never changes. Psalms Chapter 33, Verse 4:
For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.
The Word of the LORD is right.
Deuteronomy Chapter 32, Verse 4:
He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.
All of God's work is perfect.
Malachi Chapter 3, Verse 6:
For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
Our God does not change. His law does not change. His words do not change. His vernacular does not change. His clothing does not change. The God of the majority-text Bible is ever constant.
MAN SAID: There are no absolutes; truth is relative to time and social settings and the Bible doesn't pertain to this modern world.
Now, THE RECORD. Truth never changes; it is absolute. Two thousand years ago, a man drove up in a chariot and committed adultery; today he drives up in a car. The mode of transport has changed, but not the motivation. No matter how many years pass, the nature of evil remains constant. The moral law of God and the truth of His Word never change. It is just as powerful and consequential today as it was when it was declared to man from the very beginning of time. Those who refuse its directives will reap their sowing. There is no escape from this truth. The driving focus of Satan is to destroy the absolutes of God's Word, the world's only source of truth.
Satan appears to be a very tolerant god--little g o d, for he is the little g o d of this world. (II Corinthians Chapter 4, Verse 4) With Satan it's fine if you're a follower of Buddha or Mohammed or Hinduism or Confucianism. You can be a Satanist, a witch, an agnostic, or atheist. You can embrace a multitude of men's doctrines and convoluted spiritual positions parading around in the name of Jesus. All of the above and much more are endorsed by Satan. The only thing that's off limits is the truth. Truth is God and Satan is positioned exactly opposite to him. God is life; Satan is death. God is light; Satan is darkness. God is good; Satan is evil. God is love; Satan is hate. God is faith; Satan is unbelief. Satan is 180 degrees out, exactly opposite of God. God is one; Satan is 36—opposite ends of the yardstick.
One common denominator exists in all the positions Satan endorses. That common denominator is rebellion against the word of God. Every position erected against the truth is simply a position of rebellion. There is no place for rebellion or stubbornness in the life of a child of God. Rebellion is Satan's oneness, just as obedience is God's oneness—just opposite ends of the measure.
I Samuel Chapter 15, Verse 23:
For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.
Jesus Christ defines truth in John Chapter 17, Verse 17:
Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
Truth is absolute and has zero tolerance for anything that disagrees with it. Truth knows no opinion. Truth leaves no room for private interpretation. The truth in fact is its own interpretation.
When you understand, as Jesus said, that God's Word is Truth, it brings you to another profound understanding, which is found in John Chapter 1, Verse 1:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
God is a spirit and the Word of God is in fact, God. Words are spiritual. For God to accept something other than truth would be to deny himself and destroy truth...the absolutes. There can be no compromise. Truth is absolute in every way. Truth is constant and God is truth. James Chapter 1, Verse 17:
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
There is not even a shadow of suggestion of compromise. Truth cannot change and still remain truth. The passage of time does not change truth. What God hated when the words were written remains constant.
When a man becomes born-again in Christ Jesus, he time travels back in history to Golgotha's Hill, to the foot of the cross where Jesus died. That's where the blood of atonement was shed for the sins of the world. The journey for new-testament righteousness begins there at the source of redemption. People today attempting to find truth are confused and befuddled because they're looking back through 2,000 years of compounded compromise. If you want the truth that will set you free you must go back 2,000 years to Christ Jesus, the source, and start from that point. Trying to ferret out truth by looking back through 2,000 years of Satan's alterations will not work. Remember, you cannot add or take away from truth and still have truth remain truth. Revelation Chapter 22, Verses 18-19:
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things, which are written in this book.
The cacophony of voices parading around in the name of truth is deafening. When Adam and Eve began in the Garden of Eden there was only one word--God's, and man was immortal in God's paradise. A short time later another word was spoken—Satan's—that contradicted and rebelled against the word of God. Man joined the rebellion, died and was booted out of paradise. That same spirit of rebellion is the common denominator of any position contrary to God's Word.
God's truth always remains truth. It is absolute and your majority-text King James Bible is the accurate English language accounting.
I must sacrifice my mind for the mind of Christ. I must sacrifice my opinion and the opinion of others for God's truth. Remember, truth knows no opinion. Truth never changes and by definition it is right.
King Jesus said in Matthew Chapter 6, Verses 22-23:
22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
The Word of truth says in Revelation Chapter 3, Verses 15-16:
15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Mixing God's Word is the little leaven of damnation. It is the gray area of confusion and the lukewarm position that God spews out of his mouth.
Change absolutes and everything systematically degrades. It all began with one word...God's. But now, well over 1,700 religious sects, cults and denominations prevail and that number is continually growing. It has been the harbinger of untold violence, bigotry, death and war. Things have changed. If my memory serves me correctly, the year 1953 saw one episode of the I Love Lucy TV program censored for the using of the word "pregnant." And when married TV couples went to bed for the night the censors required separate single beds. Things have changed. Today they leave nothing for the imagination. The couple meets for the first time and jumps into the bed of fornication. Change the absolutes and moral decline and degradation are the outcomes. A hundred years ago a man would court a young lady for the purpose of marriage. He would visit her home, sit in the parlor with the family and the young lady and share a bowl of popcorn. Today a man meets a young lady and they share a bed and household without the sanctity of marriage. Today some schools hand out condoms and condone abortion. Things have changed. A hundred years ago divorce was a rare occurrence. Today the divorce rate is approaching 65% and a never-divorced household has now become America's minority. A hundred years ago the Bible commandment given by God for the wife to honor and obey her husband and for the husband to love his wife as Christ loved the church was given credence in America's churches and homes. Today both of these standards have been brutally mutilated. Things have changed. A hundred years ago homosexual activity was a shameful, deviant deed. Today this evil unclean contagion has come out of the closet and gone mainstream, resulting in same-sex marriages and even the adoption of children by sodomites.
Once the absolutes of truth are broken and rebellion rules, the floodgates of Hell open and woe to the one who participates. Proverbs Chapter 23, Verse 23:
Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.
GOD SAID He never changes and that His word is the absolute truth.
MAN SAID: There are no absolutes; truth is relative to time and one's social settings and the Bible doesn't pertain to this modern world.
Now you have THE RECORD.

Power Verse
Acts 1:8 (KJV)
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost parts of the earth.
