Asa Paulovich—777
I want to thank all of you for your prayers and fasting. On three different occasions, I asked you to pray and agree with my wife, Asa’s wife, our family, and me concerning our son, husband, and brother, the mighty man of God, Asa Paulovich, who had been diagnosed with Satan’s strong man, cancer. Your prayers and fasting, your Scriptures, your dreams, visions, and your words of encouragement were foundational to the battle that was raging. II Corinthians 10:3-5:
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
Surely, the victory over cancer was won—but not as we had thought.
Asa was and is a lover of Christ and served the Cross from a very early age. For 15 years, Asa served as the sound engineer for GodSaidManSaid, producing over 730 of today’s 777 features. Just a couple months ago, due to his condition, he was forced to pass the mantle. For about the same period of time, he served as worship leader of the church we attend. Asa preached, taught, and ministered miraculously to the sick. He was a man of great childlike faith and during his time of suffering, God perfected in him the beauty of love and fearless peace.
On Friday, December 18, 2015, at 6:05 a.m. at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, Asa, at the age of 29, went on to be with the Lord.
All of us standing and believing were dumbstruck. How could it be? My wife and I had been looking for a hall large enough to hold a celebration meeting for all of those who stood with us in this battle. But the meeting that God had in mind is the one you’ll find in this feature.
Many of you are mourning—and rejoicing—with us concerning Asa, and many of you may be mourning a loved one who has passed from you. I hope this feature will help you resolve some of the hard questions and restore shattered faith.
There is a time when God’s answer is “no,” but as a minister once said, “no, with a greater ‘yes.’”
This past Saturday, Asa’s celebration meeting that you are about to view was held. The very next GodSaidManSaid feature that could host it is this one, number 777. Seven is the number of Christ, the number of completion, the number of rest. These numbers say mercy, mercy, mercy; grace, grace, grace; love, love, love. May God’s face shine upon you with Light and Truth. Thank you for coming today.
