The Myth Series (Part 3)

God renews the spirit of His children daily.  Psalm 51:10:

Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

God will renew our spirits even in the middle of daunting circumstances—in grief, in sorrow, in high-stress situations, just to name a few. He is an ever-present help in times of trouble, as God’s Word promises, but I must say so.  Mark 11:22-24:

22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

As we mix the Word of God with childlike faith, all things become possible, the supernatural is put into motion in my very own circumstances. 

The confession of the mouth is a central point of salvation.  As I believe upon the saving blood of Jesus Christ, repenting of my sins, confessing Him before men with my mouth, I become BORN AGAIN.  Romans 10:8-10:

8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

At this point, I am totally made new.  My journey on the glorious road of redemption begins, and here, I am renewed every day.  II Corinthians 5:17:

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

On this highway, we speak a new language. 

Dear visitor, have you yet to be BORN AGAIN, even as Jesus describes in John 3:3?

Now THE RECORD: Welcome to GodSaidManSaid feature 1283 that will once again contend for the faith.  All of these faith-building features are archived here in text and streaming audio for your edification and to be used as bait by the fishers of men.  Every Thursday eve, God willing, they grow by one.

You have arrived at the GodSaidManSaid features titled “The Myth Series.”  Each of these features begins with the following foundational information:

It’s a matter of psychological projection.  The camp of the unbelievers project their evil surmisings and their own proclivities and deeds upon the camp of the faithful.  This is the standard MO (modus operandi) of the devil.  In the Garden of Eden, we see projection for the first time here when Satan calls God a liar.  Genesis 3:1-4:

1 Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

Satan calls God a liar when he, the devil, is the father of the lie.  John 8:43-45:

43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.

44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

Projection is the MO (modus operandi) of Satan and his adherents of unbelief.  In their great halls of learning, they emphatically declare that the Bible is a book of mere myths written by men with a God fetish, but the actual truth of the matter could not be more 180° out.  The world’s academics are the masters of the myth. 

Speaking of 180° out, the publication Scientific American is celebrating its 180^th year.  The September 2025 issue published 18 pages noting various past issues where the accepted science of the day was proven wrong and scientific thought had to reverse and course-correct, as well as instances where bold scientific assertions are today somewhat dubious. Scientific American was not ashamed, by the way.  The headline celebrating their 180 years proclaims, “Upended.”  A defining lead statement follows:

Scientific revelations are rarely as dramatic as they appear in movies, with an iconoclastic scientist exclaiming: Everything we thought we knew is wrong! And plenty of people have sought to selectively interpret new evidence and question the consensus of a field for policy goals or economic gain.  But genuine 180s do happen—as do swerves, zigzags, and other, variously shaped course corrections.  To celebrate Scientific American’s 180^th anniversary, we set out to find fascinating examples of what happens when foundational assumptions get put to the test. Their “truth” of yesterday is debunked by their “truth” of today, and their “truth” of today will be debunked by their “truth” of tomorrow.  Now contrast that with Hebrews 13:8:

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Myths? …who is the purveyor of myths? 

Who is God? …is He the creator-God of the Bible or is it evolution, the god of the unbelievers? 

The entire structure called the theory of evolution is totally built upon a foundation of unbelief called uniformitarianism. This doctrine states that the present is the key to the past.  The world’s geologists assert that, because the world moves along at a uniform pace now, by measuring percent of geological change they can see in the present they have the ability to extrapolate backward to the beginning of time, which they claim is 13.8 billion years ago.  Unfortunately for the uniformitarians, there are two colossal global events that occurred in the past, events that can be established beyond any reasonable doubt.  These two events totally shatter the false foundation of uniformitarianism. 

Global Event #1:

Genesis reports that God created the earth and its universe in six, 24-hour days just over 6,000 years ago. If a uniformitarian would have happened upon Adam, the world’s first man, just 15 minutes after he was created by God, that uniformitarian would certainly assume history:  Where are your mother and father, your grandparents, etc.? But Adam was only 15 minutes old.  Certainly, a six-day creation would not be called “uniform” by anyone, and, of course, it can be proven beyond reasonable doubt.

Global Event #2:

1,656 years after Adam opened his eyes, God destroyed the entire earth in a global flood.  As a result of man’s unbelief and disobedience, God destroyed all life on earth that had the breath of life in its nostrils, with the exception of those aboard Noah’s ark.  No one would call a global flood “uniform.”  But, was there such an event?

The amount of evidence in defense of Noah is absolutely staggering.  Just three points will be highlighted here:

1. The vast majority of the earth is covered with flood strata;
2. There are marine fossils found on every mountain peak, including Mount Everest;
3. Nearly every fossil found is a result of water action.

There was a global flood and it was not a “uniform” event.  The entire theory of evolution is built upon a fully discredited foundation called uniformitarianism.

Who are the masters of the myth?  This GodSaidManSaid series will be dubbed “The Myth Series. The title of this series was inspired by ICR’s (Institute for Creation Research) “Research Edition 2025” of their flagship publication, Acts & Facts.  In this feature, they published ten myths of evolution countered with the facts that debunk them.  We will be highlighting their work and adding additional myths, of which there are many, as we go. 

The author of the Acts & Facts feature, “The Age of Reptiles Myth,” is Brian Thomas, Ph.D., and we will start with a quick biography of Dr. Thomas before quoting from this article:

Dr. Thomas is a research associate at the Institute for Creation Research and earned his PhD in paleobiochemistry from the University of Liverpool. 

We hear about  the Age of Reptiles, also called the Age of Dinosaurs, almost as early as we can understand the idea.  Even kindergarteners might be taught that dinosaurs lived in some lost era long before humans came on the scene.  However, compelling reasons indicate that this supposed Age of Reptiles is imposed upon the fossils rather than derived from them. 

Historically, the Scriptures show no hint of such an age.  The time between creation and the Flood is 1,656 years according to Biblical chronology, and roughly 4,500 years have passed since the Flood to today.  This leaves no space for vast ages. 

One clear evidence supporting the Flood is the presence of fossils themselves.  Today, dead creatures rot or are scavenged.  Where do organisms fossilize now?  Almost nowhere. 

Vertebrates in particular, like alligators, birds, and sharks, don’t fossilize after dying.  But these creatures—plus turtles, water birds, crayfish, gar fish, and wetlands plants—did fossilize alongside now-extinct creatures like pterosaurs, dinosaurs, and mosasaurs, in the same layers around the world.  Noah’s Flood buried them too deep and fast for decay to take effect or for scavengers to reach them. 

Another clear evidence against an Age of Reptiles comes from original biochemicals and even intact tissue fragments still found in many fossils.  Our curated list now includes 130 technical descriptions of such finds, showing they occur worldwide and in any strata that have fossils.  If the Flood formed these layers only thousands of years ago, then it’s no wonder they still contain original biochemicals. 

The fact fossils exist worldwide, plus the youthful organics still within them, relegate any Age of Reptiles to myth and confirm the Flood as history. 

Article Highlights:

⦁ The Age of Reptiles is a supposed ancient era before mammals existed, a time when dinosaurs roamed the Earth.

⦁ The Bible describes no such age, and the fossil record doesn’t support it. 

⦁ Preserved biomaterial in fossils also nullifies this supposed age.

⦁ Like so much of the evolutionary story, the Age of Reptiles is fiction. [End of quotes]

The feature “Archaeopteryx, Myth of a Transitional Fossil” was penned by Tim Clarey, PhD, and is found in the Research Edition 2025 issue of Acts & Facts:

Dr. Clarey is the director of research at the Institute for Creation Research and earned his PhD in geology from Western Michigan University.

In 1860, one year after the publication of Charles Darwin’s The Origin of the Species, a wonderfully preserved fossil feather was discovered in the Jurassic Solnhofen Limestone in Germany.  A year later, the first of 14 Archaeopteryx skeletons was found there.  Named by paleontologist Herman von Myer, Archaeopteryx means “ancient wing,” a name implying it was a bird.  Because all of the specimens were found in layers well below any other bird fossil, Archaeopteryx was raised to the evolutionary icon status of “first bird.” 

Evolutionary paleontologist Alan Feduccia has pointed out that the feathers on Archaeopteryx are completely aerodynamic in structure, indicative of flight.  Furthermore, Archaeopteryx possessed a bird “wishbone” that was robust enough for muscle attachment and flight capability.  In addition, the pubis bone in Archaeopteryx resembles that of birds living today and was probably used as a muscle attachment site for suprapubic muscles, which are designed to assist lung ventilation by moving the tail during roosting.  By contrast, the pubis bone of crocodiles and bipedal dinosaurs functions as a muscle attachment site for diaphragmatic muscles. 

The flying issue was settled after scientists studied the cross-sectional geometry of wing bones from three Archaeopteryx specimens.  They concluded Archaeopteryx flew like a pheasant, with quick ascents, a short flight time, and running as a way to evade danger.

Our analyses reveal that the architecture of Archaeopteryx’s wing bones consistently exhibits a combination of cross-sectional geometric properties uniquely shared with volant [flying] birds, particularly those occasionally utilizing short distance flapping.  In effect, Archaeopteryx appears to have flown by flapping its wings in short bursts.

Evolutionary paleontologist Steve Brusatte stated, “I think it’s a case closed now… Archaeopteryx was capable of at least short bursts of powered flight.” 

It’s quite clear Archaeopteryx was a fully-designed bird that could fly directly from the ground.  It possessed some unusual features for a bird, but it was a bird nonetheless.

Simply put, Archaeopteryx is not a transitional fossil or a feathered dinosaur.  It flew like a bird and walked like a bird.  Archaeopteryx is simply an extinct type of bird that was created by Jesus in the beginning.

Article Highlights:

⦁Over 160 years ago, evolutionists heralded Archaeopteryx as an important missing link between dinosaurs and birds.

⦁ But Archaeopteryx had flight feathers and skeletal anatomy like a bird.

⦁ It also walked like a modern bird, not a theropod dinosaur.

⦁ Archaeopteryx isn’t a transitional fossil but rather an extinct type of bird created by Jesus in the beginning. [End of quotes]

Jake Hebert, PhD, authored the feature “The Big Bang Myth,” found in the Research Edition 2025 issue of Acts & Facts:

Dr. Hebert is a research scientist at the Institute for Creation Research and earned his PhD in physics from the University of Texas at Dallas.

According to the most popular conventional origins story, space, energy, time, and matter as we know them came into being 14 billion years ago when a hypothetical process called inflation caused space to rapidly expand.  Somehow this cosmic accident eventually resulted in myriads of stars, planets, and galaxies as well as Earth and all its inhabitants.  Despite the idea’s apparent absurdity, it’s taken seriously by millions of people, including most scientists. 

The Big Bang’s strongest argument is perhaps the existence of the CMB (cosmic microwave background) radiation. And yet, the details of this radiation have repeatedly contradicted Big Bang expectations, forcing multiple revisions to the model .

Moreover, the Big Bang is plagued by other serious, persistent problems.  Two different methods of calculating the presumed expansion rate of the universe—one using galaxies’ estimated distances and speeds and the other inferred from CMB radiation details—give contradictory answers, and distant galaxies often appear more mature than Big Bang reckoning expects.  This long-standing problem has only be exacerbated by data from the James Webb Space Telescope. 

Another challenge is that Big Bang assumptions forced theorists to conclude that 95% of the universe is comprised of exotic, unknown “stuff.”  Big Bang proponents acknowledge that by their own reckoning they know almost nothing about the universe’s basic composition and yet boldly claim to (mostly) understand the process through which the universe supposedly came into being.  It’s like not knowing the ingredients in a birthday cake yet claiming to understand its recipe! 

If the Big Bang is such a poorly constructed scientific model, why do its proponents cling to it so tenaciously? For many, embracing a weak scientific model is preferable to acknowledging that they will one day have to give an account to our universe’s Creator.

The Big Bang is a modern-day myth that’s both bad theology and bad science.  It’s long past time for it to be abandoned in favor of the true origins story found in Genesis.

Article Highlights:

⦁ Although the Big Bang is the widely accepted model for the universe’s origin, its three main supporting arguments—receding galaxies, amounts of hydrogen and helium, and a cosmic microwave background radiation—are problematic. 

⦁ Two persistent problems are contradictory expansion rates calculated by two different methods and distant galaxies that appear more mature than expected.

⦁ Cosmologists’ Big Bang assumptions led them to conclude that most of the universe exists in exotic, unknown forms of energy—if they don’t even know what the universe is, how can they claim to understand how it came to be?

⦁ The Big Bang is bad theology and bad science that should be rejected. [End of quotes]

The following excerpts regarding the myth known as the Big Bang were published in Creation magazine’s Volume 46, Number 3, under the title, “No Dark Matter After All?” 

The idea of a mysterious, unseen, and unknown substance called “dark matter” was first put forward to explain galaxy rotation rates.  It was later realized that “dark matter” could overcome big observational and theoretical problems with “Big Bang” models.  Thus, the leading (standard) model today is called Lambda Cold Dark Matter (ΛCDM). 

Dark matter and its stablemate “dark energy” are together supposed to make up a staggering 95% of the material universe.  Doubts were occasionally expressed about whether they truly exist. Some secular researchers have called their role in propping up cosmological theory the equivalent of the "tooth fairy." 

Now two separate studies in early 2024, using different theoretical proposals, have caused a stir by claiming that these “dark twins” might not exist. 

One is co-authored by John Oppenheim, a quantum gravity expert at University College, London.  His approach over the last five years seeks to unite gravity with quantum theory and says it “can explain the expansion of the universe and galactic rotation without dark matter or dark energy.”  The paper suggests this dark duo may be unnecessary scientific constructs.  It cites celestial spheres, the ether, and the planet Vulcan (between Mercury and the Sun, not Spock’s home) as having similarly once been widely believed to be real. 

The other, by University of Ottawa physicist Rajendra Gupta in The Astrophysical Journal, claims to show that these dark entities do not, in fact cannot, exist. 

Of course, not much time has passed since the announcement, and further critical analysis is bound to follow.  But it seems to suggest significant cracks in cosmology, with one of the favorite problem-solvers for big-bangers (dark matter) at risk.  [End of quote]

New Scientist headlined their August 31, 2024 issue with the feature, “Blow for Dark Matter Search as Biggest Hunt Yet Finds Nothing.”  Several paragraphs follow:

Dark matter doesn’t interact much with regular matter or with light, so we can’t see it.  We only know it exists because of its gravitational effects and those effects indicate it makes up over 80% of all matter.  The leading explanation for dark matter has long been that it is made up of weakly interacting massive particles (WIMPs) , but hunts for these fundamental entities have found nothing yet. 

“It’s as if we’ve been told there’s some magical fish that lives in the ocean and we have no idea where it is,” says spokesperson Chamkaur Ghag of University College, London.  “We get into the ocean, swim around, get out, get a snorkel, swim around, still don’t find it, get a submarine.”  If the magical fish is a WIMP, researchers have no explored about 75% of the ocean without finding it, he says. 

If WIMPs don’t make up dark matter, that will be a huge paradigm shift, but physicists won’t give up entirely on finding dark matter. [End of quotes]

Highly credentialed and acclaimed geologist Dr. Andrew Snelling writes the following in his book, The Genesis Flood Revisited:

Geological evolution over billions of years is proclaimed as the explanation for the origin and formation of the earth, its rock strata, and its landscapes, while biological evolution is all but universally accepted today as the sufficient explanation for the origin and formation of all living organisms, including men, as well as the evolution of life itself from inorganic compounds. The most absurd improbabilities have been considered more probable than the alternative of real creation.  For example, a former professor of biology at Harvard University, when discussing the extreme complexity of even the simplest living organisms, and the almost infinite improbability that such a system could ever arise spontaneously from living systems, still confessed:

One has only to contemplate the magnitude of this task to concede that the spontaneous generation of a living organism is impossible.  Yet here we are—as a result, I believe, of spontaneous generation.

The Harvard biology professor, only a few paragraphs before making the above quoted statement, had admitted that the only alternative to belief in spontaneous generation was “to believe in a single, primary act of supernatural creation,” which he admitted most modern biologists are unwilling to accept.  Yet, in spite of decades of research in conjunction with many hopeful experiments, the impossible improbabilities remain:

The chance that higher life forms might have emerged in this way is comparable with the chance that “a tornado sweeping through a junkyard might assemble a Boeing 747 from the materials therein.”  [End of quote]

Somebody is telling stories.  This world’s intelligencia has banned clean scientific consideration of the Word of God and its account of creation from its textbooks, classrooms, universities of foolishness, and from their periodicals.  The cannot allow a divine foot in the door.

Dr. Roger Gallup is a geologist and marine scientist, and an author with over 40 years as a geotechnical and biological consultant.  Dr. Gallup writes the following in his book, The Greatest Deception of Modern History:

Evolutionists have to “explain how nothing became everything” and therefore “they must invoke their own supernatural ‘first act.’”  They make-believe the universe created itself out of nothing—a belief that is in clear violation of the First and Second Laws of Thermodynamics. What we see are shrinking stars and decay; not dust particles evolving into higher levels of complexity by some “unknown process.”  The bottom line is that evolutionists will never find satisfactory answers because they are looking for a “naturalistic” solution that does not exist.  The tools of science cannot find God. They refuse to consider a supernatural source that would provide satisfactory answers to Cause, Origin, and Why there is a universe. [End of quote]

Dr. Gallup quotes scientific notables regarding the myth of evolution and its “big bang:”

⦁ “Evolution is a fairy tale for grown-ups. This theory has helped nothing in the progress of science.  It is useless. –Professor Louis Bouroune, former president of the Biological Society of Strasburg and director of the Strasburg Zoological Museum, later director of research at the French National Centre of Scientific Research, as quoted in The Advocate, March 8, 1984. 

⦁ “Scientists who go about teaching that evolution is a fact of life are great conmen and the story they are telling may be the greatest hoax ever.  In explaining evolution, we do not have one iota of fact.”  --Dr. T. N. Tahmisian, Atomic Energy Commission, USA, as quoted in Evolution and the Emperor’s New Clothes, 1983.

⦁ “The Big Bang is only a myth that attempts to say how the universe came into being.” –Hannes Alfvén, “The Big Bang Never Happened,”  Discover 9, June 1988.

⦁ “The Big Bang represents the instantaneous suspension of physical laws, the sudden, abrupt flash of lawlessness that allowed something to come out of nothing.  It represents a true miracle—transcending physical principles.” –Paul Davis, The Edge of Infinity, 1981.

⦁ In fact, evolution became, in a sense, a scientific religion; almost all scientists have accepted it and many are prepared to bend their observations to fit with it.  To my mind, the theory of evolution does not stand up at all.”  --H.S. For over 40 years, notable secular scientists have been critical of the fairy tales bandied about as truth, yet academia prefers to believe their lies, even as evidence mounts daily against them. 

I need to know it’s true—and it is—because everything depends upon it.  Because it is true and righteous altogether, then:

11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

The purveyor of myths is not the God of the Bible.
