Which Religion is the Truth? (Part 3: True Religion is a Book, but Which?)

Article#: 2032

It’s such a clear and Sonny day for us. The BORN AGAIN have brand spanking new lives that begin with a new Father, a Father who loves us so much He gave His only begotten Son for our redemption. John 3:16:

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Believest thou this?

It’s such a clear and Sonny day for us.  The BORN AGAIN have answers to all their hard questions, answers that fully satisfy the searching of the soul and spirit.  We have the power and Holy Ghost tools to successfully possess our own vessels. We have a purpose that transcends all this veil of vanity, but it is not so—oh so very not so—for the fallen sons and daughters of Adam.  They travel in a slough of confusion.  The prophet Daniel speaks of this deadly place in Daniel 9:7-8:

7 O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee.

8 O Lord, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee.

As the end approaches, the confusion of face will accelerate at a dark and deadly pace.  The carnal kingdom has cast off the God of the Bible, the source of all that is true and righteous, and they will continue to stumble at noonday.   They stumble over:

⯌ Is it God, or is it evolution?
⯌ Is there real truth? Is it a religion?
⯌ If it is a religion, which religion?
⯌ Is truth a Bible, and if so, which Bible?
⯌ Am I a man, or a woman?  Should I marry a man or a woman?  Should I bother to marry at all?

The list is long.  The very good news is that it doesn’t have to be that way.

Dear visitor, have you yet to be BORN AGAIN as Jesus speaks in John 3:3?

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Have you tired of all the confusion?  Are you ready for life and life more abundantly?  Do you yearn for the clear and Sonny day? In just a few moments, I will invite you to follow me in a simple prompt, and if you do, everything will change for you today.  Today, all of your sins will be washed away by the blood of Jesus Christ, the champion of Calvary. Today, all of Satan’s bondages in your life will be broken, the bigger the better.  Today, you will be BORN AGAIN, born a second time, this time of the Spirit of God.  Here is the prompt I promised: Click onto Further with Jesus for childlike instructions and immediate entry into the Kingdom of God, a very clear and Sonny day. NOW FOR TODAY’S SUBJECT.

GOD SAID, Deuteronomy 4:2:

Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

GOD SAID, Psalm 138:2:

I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

GOD SAID, Revelation 22:18-19:

18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

MAN SAID: Everybody knows all Bible translations are the Word of God.  Everybody knows it!!

Which religion?  The world-ending battle of Armageddon will be fought over the question of which religion. This is the last feature in this three-part series addressing the question: Which religion?

How many religions are there in the world?  That’s the question posed online, and the response was “nearly 4,000.”  Is there one true religion?  The answer is “yes.”

The following foundational information is from part two of this series, “Which Religion is the Truth? (Part 2: The Tree is Known by its Fruit):”

For discussion, let’s place the number of world religions at an even 4,000.  Even though they reject each other, 3,999 of the world’s religions find they have one common denominator: They all reject the one true religion.

All things are an aggregation of words.  This most certainly includes religions.  Last week, we discovered the first and second religions the world has ever known, and as you would expect, these two religions were both on display in the very beginning. Genesis 3:1-5:

1 Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

The first religion was the Word of God.  His children enjoyed the blessings of His Word by mixing His Word with their childlike faith.  In this state of faith and obedience, Adam and Eve were immortal and dwelt in Paradise.

Satan offered the second religion, which is unbelief in God’s Words.  Eve and Adam ate of the forbidden fruit, ushered in the law of sin and death, and were booted out of Paradise.  All of the other false religions followed the devil’s lead, which II Thessalonians 2:10 calls “the deceivableness of unrighteousness.”

Isaiah Chapter 34 prophesizes the end of the world at a place called Armageddon and tells us that the end will come as a result of a controversy God has with the nations.  Isaiah 34:8:

For it is the day of the Lord''s vengeance, and the year of recompenses for the controversy of Zion.

The controversy is over whose Word is true.  The true religion is a book, a living Book.

🕇 John 1:1: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

🕇 Revelation 19:13: And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

🕇 John 1:14: And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Which is the true religion, the truth religion?  It is a Holy Book.

GodSaidManSaid uses four truth platforms to establish the bonafides of God’s beautiful Book.  Platform #1 is titled Archaeology, and under this banner you’ll find paleontology, anthropology, geology, ancient history, and ancient societal records.  Platform #1 certifies the absolute accuracy of God’s Holy Bible, miracles and all.

In J. McDowell’s book The New Evidence that Demands a Verdict, you’ll find the following:

Earl Radmacher, retired president of Western Conservative Baptist Seminary, quotes Nelson Gluek, former president of the Jewish Theological Seminary at the Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati, and one of the three greatest archaeologists: “I listened to him [Gluek] when he was at Temple Emmanuel in Dallas, and he got rather red in the face and said, ‘I’ve been accused of teaching the verbal, plenary inspiration of the Scripture.  I want it to be understood that I have never taught this!  All I have ever said is that in all of my archaeological investigation I have never found one artifact of antiquity that contradicts any statement of the Word of God.’”

Platform #2 is Prophecy.  God tells the end from the beginning and uses His prophecy to establish the supernatural and perfect nature of His Word. Isaiah 41:21-24:

21 Produce your cause, saith the LORD; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob.

22 Let them bring them forth, and show us what shall happen: let them show the former things, what they be, that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them; or declare us things for to come.

23 Show the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that ye are gods: yea, do good, or do evil, that we may be dismayed, and behold it together.

24 Behold, ye are of nothing, and your work of nought: an abomination is he that chooseth you.

In this category, we employ the laws of probability.  For example, what are the chances that a mortal man could make all the contingent predictions of the destruction of the ancient city of Tyre and see history verify those predictions?  Suppose the odds were one chance out of 5,000,000,000 that a mortal man could correctly predict the required events.  It would then follow that the chances were 4,999,999,999 out of every 5,000,000,000 that it was God. There is no book like God’s majority-text Holy Bible.

Platform #3 is called God Said Man Said, from which this ministry derives its name.  In this category, a Biblical commandment, precept, or insight is highlighted, man’s mockery or disregard is recorded, and the results are presented.  The cardinal law of Galatians 6:7 rules here:

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

There are nearly 1,000 features in this category, each demonstrating the results of this global field study of carnal man’s refusal of God and His wisdom.  Unsurprisingly, the results have been deadly indeed.  One particularly timely example of man’s disregard for God’s Word concerns Leviticus Chapter 11 and Deuteronomy Chapter 14, which both strongly condemn the bat.  We are commanded not to eat bats, and we are further commanded to not even touch the carcass of the bat.  Carnal men chose to disregard God’s commandments, be it a wet market or a lab in China, and the deadly results were COVID-19 and a global pandemic.  Bats are bad news, says God, but man knew better.

Platform #4 is titled The Historicity of Jesus Christ, and this platform establishes beyond reasonable doubt that Jesus Christ was, and is, what the Bible claimed Him to be, that He did what the Bible recorded Him as doing, and you can be sure that He will be returning just as the Bible says He will. History, archaeology, geology, astounding fulfilled prophecies, and apostolic testimony certify God’s only begotten Son, the Lord of Glory. [End of quotes]

Feature 2 in this series highlighted two profound statements made by Jesus Christ:

🕇 Luke 6:43-44:

43 For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.

🕇 John 10:10:

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Found inside the Cross of Christ is the very Tree of Life, and certainly life and life more abundantly, even eternal life. Visit last week’s feature for more information.

Everything, including our bodies, is made out of God’s Words, as was established in Feature One.  Two additional points will be helpful:

⯁ Biologists were shocked when they first discovered DNA carries the instructions for life, and it communicates those instructions using a four-letter alphabet structured into words, sentences, paragraphs, chapters, and volumes.  As a result, DNA has been dubbed “the book of life,” the language of life.

⯁ The entire fabric of life is discovered in wordsWords are the all-embracing medium.  Words contemplated, words spoken, thoughts (silent words), and words written put life into motion. For example:

🗨 When you were born, you were given a word name that was affixed to a birth certificate—a word document—certifying your entry into the world.

🗨 Soon after birth, if you are in the US, your name is registered in a word document and assigned a number by the Internal Revenue Service, and you are tracked and taxed all of your days.

🗨 When you take a test in school, you sign your name to the page and respond to word questions with word answers, and your written name earns a written grade.

🗨 When you purchase a vehicle (which is literally made of words), you will sign a host of word documents indicating your intent to comply with the words written.  Your word signature binds you to words

🗨 If you marry, you will confirm your intent with a word signature and the spoken words, “I do.”

🗨 When you pass from this earth, a final word document—a death certificate—is produced with your name affixed to it.  From this point, the body returns to the dust from whence it came—a dust that, yes, was spoken into existence by God’s Words

From cradle to grave, the medium is words.  Even eternal salvation is a product of God’s Words and is sealed with ours. Romans 10:8-10:

8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Everything must interface with words because everything is made out of words.

GodSaidManSaid has no denomination.  We are not Catholic, or Orthodox, or Protestant.  We, like a sprinkling of us all over the world, are described by the phrase Sola Scriptura, which means Scriptures alone. This phrase was made popular by the religious reformer Martin Luther, but this principle was established by God when the first holy sentence was spoken and subsequently penned.  Sola Scriptura is allegiant to the Living Book, the Word of God.

Everything, absolutely everything, is a matter of words—and the question is whose words?  Once I begin to understand the empirical importance of words, I begin to focus on their correctness and the consequences they will generate.

The fall of man and the ushering in of the law of sin and death began with just one added word and a question mark.  Satan engaged Grandmother Eve in conversation and his opening sentence is found in Genesis 3:1And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?  Satan challenged God’s Word, and the challenge was designed to cause doubt.  Satan is fully aware that where there is doubt, the mountain won’t move (Mark 11:23).  Satan adds the word “hath” and ends the sentence with a question mark.  His words were, “Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?”  Remove the additions and the sentence would correctly read: Yea, God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden.  The door to the law of sin and death was opened with one added word and one added question mark.

If the true religion is a living Book (and it is), and if in it I find the bread of life (and I do), then the Book I feed from is a hugely important issue.  Today, there are hundreds of translations and paraphrasings of the Bible.

When a new believer asks what Bible he or she should read, a common refrain heard is that it “makes no difference” which Bible is read because “all Bibles are the Word of God.”  Keep in mind that God is the Word (John 1:1) and that Satan wants to be like God, and he began his quest to reign on the earth with one word and a question mark.  Isaiah 14:12-14:

12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

Satan is the master of changing the words.

Satan wants to be like God.  God is the Word and every sentence in God’s Book is a piece of God.  Change and alter the words, and you have changed the image of God.  If for some reason you have to cut your visit short today, here is the takeaway: Purchase an AKJV, an Authorized King James Version of the Bible. (A free online version is available here.)

True religion is the truth and it is a living Book.  We are cautioned at the peril of our eternal souls not to add to or take away from original spoken Scripture.

🕇 Deuteronomy 4:2:

Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

🕇 Proverbs 30:6:

Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

🕇 Revelation 22:18-19:

18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

The website WordCounter published the word count of various Bible translations:

The King James Bible: 783,137 words

New King James Bible: 770,430 words

The New International Bible (NIV): 727,969 words

English Standard Version (ESV): 757,439 words

New American Standard Bible (NASB): 782,815 words

Why does the word count vary among different version of the Bible? The King James Version was released in 1611 and is the oldest version of the Bible still being used today.  The New International Bible and the English Standard Bible are modern version that, according to a few sources, have removed verses and words found in the King James Bible.  [End of quote]

The NIV (New International Version) was originally published in the 1970s and is currently the most popular of today’s modern versions.  It has 55,168 less words than the AKJV.  The New King James version has 12,707 less words; the English Standard Version has 25,698 less words; and the New American Standard Bible has 322 less words than the Authorized King James Version of the Holy Bible.  That should be eye-opening.

The modern translations have omitted entire verses of the Holy Bible, and partially truncated others.  Yes, all the above appear to be grievous offences, but they are, in fact, secondary issues. The primary issue is the manuscripts from which these Bibles were translated.

True religion is a living Book man knows as the Holy Bible, but which Bible? The following excerpts are from the GodSaidManSaid feature, “PETA Gets Involved (AI & Bible Translations):”

Primary issues regarding Bible translations boil down to two:

1. Is the translation translated from the majority-text or from the minority-text?

2. Can the new translation claim TR status?  (TR stands for Textus Receptus or Received Text) .

GodSaidManSaid has published numerous features concerning Bible translations. Excerpts from a few of those features follow.

📖 GodSaidManSaid, “Ancient Discovery Confirms Masoretic Text—Skeptics Scramble!”

Is there anything more important than a believer’s copy of the Holy Bible?  It will be obvious in this feature that all Bibles are not the same.  Today’s English translations—such as the NIV, TNIV, NASB, ESV, HCSB—are not translated from the same manuscripts as the 1611 Authorized King James Version of the Bible.

There are two Testaments in the Bible—the Old and the New.  The Old Testament was handed down by the Hebrew Levitical Order.  The Old Testament in your Bible is either the Hebrew Masoretic Text or German: Rudolf Kittel’s revised Masoretic Text.  The Authorized King James Version uses the Hebrew Masoretic Text.  All other modern versions, including the NKJV, use Rudolf Kittel’s text.  New information you’ll read in this feature will address this issue.

Regularly, GodSaidManSaid is asked about Bible translations.  Multiple features are offered here on this critical subject; for more information, visit the “Which Bible? Updated Series” on this website.

Concerning the New Testament debate, there are two pivotal issues:  One, the term Textus Receptus (TR), meaning received text, and two, Majority Text (MT).  They are different, but one begets the other.

The wide geographical use of a Bible text earned it the status of Textus Receptus—the accepted text of the Christian faith.  There are over 5,200 known manuscripts—according to Kurt Aland—that contain all or part of the Greek New Testament.  Keep in mind, until Gutenberg, there was no printing press.  The Bible was penned by scribes one at a time.  It took ten months to pen one Bible.  The term Majority Text was earned when the majority of the 5,200-plus manuscripts recorded the same thing. The Authorized King James Version’s New Testament is Majority Text.  Today’s modern translations listed earlier use the Minority Text.  The Majority Text—according to Riplinger—represents 99% of all extant (existing) Greek manuscripts, while the Minority Text claims 0.008%.  Several excerpts from GodSaidManSaid features follow pertaining to the New Testament issue.

D. Baker, in his book, A Visual History of the King James Bible, writes:

Zane Hodges, Arthur Farstad:  The Majority Text represents the best theory because it is the only way to account for the vast majority of the extant manuscripts.  Under normal transmission processes, this also is the only way to account for the dominance of the Byzantine text.  Textual critical practice also relies on majority reading support.

Maurice Robinson, William Pierpont:  As stated by William McBrayer:

“The ‘Byzantine Textform’ best represents the text of the early church.  The emphasis in textual criticism is the history of the transmission of the text.  The result of the transmission process produced a textform that is represented in the vast number of surviving Greek manuscripts.  This view stresses that the overwhelming spread and dominance of the Byzantine text suggests it is closest to the original New Testament.” [End of quote]

Keep in mind, the Byzantine Text is what is found in the King James Version.

William Pickering, author of Identity of the New Testament Text, recipient of a Th.M. in Greek Exegesis from Dallas Theological Seminary, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Linguistics from the University of Toronto, wrote:

The new versions ignore the over 5,000 Greek manuscripts now extant. (Extant meaning “now existing.”)

The majority-text comes from manuscripts from Greece, Constantinople, Asia Minor, Syria, Alexandria, Africa, Gaul, Southern Italy, Sicily, England, and Ireland.

A reading found in only one limited area cannot be original.  If a reading died out in the fourth century, we have the verdict of history against it.

The King James Version has the majority-text and geography.

Metzger, author of The Text of the New Testament, writes: “Readings which are early and are supported by witnesses from a wide geographical area have a certain initial presumption in their favor.”  Thus, the term Textus Receptus, which means received text.

NOTE:  Another name for the majority-text is the Syrian Text.  Central to the Apostle Paul’s ministry was the Syrian city of Antioch.  Acts 11:26:

And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

Research conducted by G.A. Riplinger compared the Authorized King James Version (majority-text) with the New International Version (minority-text) and discovered:

The NIV has 64,098 less words than the KJV. This omission of approximately 10% of the Bible—reduces a typical 1,700 page Bible by 170 pages. ..."

[Note: WordCounter, as stated earlier, shows the difference is 55,168 words.]

Fifteen entire verses have been omitted.

Dr. Henry Morris, founder of the world renowned Institute for Creation Research, writes:

Even many King James Bibles have footnotes referring to what are said to be "better manuscripts" which indicate that certain changes should be made in the King James text. But what are these manuscripts, and are they really better? It is significant that almost all of the new versions of the New Testament are based on what is known as the Westcott-Hort Greek text, whereas the King James is based largely on what is known as the Textus Receptus. As far as the Hebrew text is concerned, the King James is based on the Masoretic (meaning, handed down) text, while the modern versions rely heavily on Kittel’s revised Masoretic text.

The Masoretic text was compiled from the ancient manuscripts of the Old Testament by the Hebrew scholars dedicated to guarding and standardizing the traditional Hebrew text "handed down" from the earlier Hebrew scribes, who had in turn meticulously copied the ancient Hebrew manuscripts, scrupulously guarding against error. As far as the Hebrew text developed by Rudolf Kittel is concerned, it is worth noting that Kittel was a German rationalistic higher critic, rejecting Biblical inerrancy and firmly devoted to evolutionism.

The men most responsible for alterations in the New Testament text were B.F. Westcott and F.J.A. Hort, whose Greek New Testament was largely updated by Eberhard Nestle and Kurt Aland. All of these men were evolutionists. Furthermore, Westcott and Hort both denied Biblical inerrancy and promoted Spiritism and racism. Nestle and Aland, like Kittel, were German theological skeptics.

Westcott and Hort were also the most influential members of the English revision committee which produced the English Revised Version of the Bible. The corresponding American revision committee which developed the American Standard Version of 1901 was headed by another liberal evolutionist, Philip Schaff. Most new versions since that time have adopted the same presuppositions as those of the 19th century revisers.

Furthermore, the Westcott-Hort text was mainly based on two early Greek manuscripts, the Sinaiticus and Vaticanus texts, which were rediscovered and rescued from long (and well-deserved) obscurity in the 19th century.

Dr. Morris concluded with this thought:

So one of the serious problems with most modern English translations is that they rely heavily on Hebrew and Greek manuscripts of the Bible developed by liberals, rationalists, and evolutionists, none of whom believed in the verbal inspiration of the Bible. Is this how God would preserve His Word? Would He not more likely have used devout scholars who believed in the absolute inerrancy and authority of the Bible?" [End of quotes]

📖 GodSaidManSaid, “Which Bible (Updated, Part 1):”

Remember, the Byzantine text is what you have in the King James Bible.

Pickering cites H.A. Sturz, who wrote The Byzantine Text-Type and New Testament Textual Criticism and summarized his research concerning the superiority of the KJV text-type, based on the discoveries in the papyri:

H.A. Sturz...surveyed all the available papyri...each new MS discovered vindicated added Byzantine readings...The magnitude of this vindication can be more fully appreciated by recalling that only about 30% of the New Testament has early papyri attestation...If we had at least three papyri covering all parts of the New Testament, all of the 5000+ Byzantine readings rejected by the critical (eclectic) texts would be vindicated by early papyrus...Henceforth no one may reasonably or responsibly characterize the Byzantine text-type as being...late (meaning not as old)...Although modern editors continue to reject these readings, it can no longer be argued that they are late. [End of quote]

A.F.J. Klijn, in his book, A Survey of the Researches into the Western Text of the Gospels, compared Aleph and B (fourth century) readings with the papyri (second century). Pickering added to his research and compared the Textus Receptus (received text) to Aleph and B. He concluded that the KJV readings (TR) dominated the early papyri to a greater percentage than the readings of Aleph and B, seen in the new versions.

Pickering concludes, "The TR has more early attestation than B and twice as much as Aleph—evidently the TR reflects an earlier text than either B or Aleph."

Other scholars’ findings reveal results which vindicate the KJV readings.

G. Zuntz in The Texts of the Epistles writes, "KJV type readings previously discarded as late are in P46...Are all Byzantine readings ancient?...G. Pasquali answers in the affirmative...Papyrus 46 and 45 support the majority-text readings..."

Metzger says, "Papyrus 75 supports the majority-text dozens of times. In relation to the majority-text, P46 (about AD 200), shows that some readings...go back to a very early period...P66 has readings that agree with the majority-text type."

Hill notes, "Byzantine readings, which most critics have regarded as late, have now been proved by Papyrus Bodmer II to be early readings."

⯁The Journal of Theological Studies (London: Oxford University Press) says, "Papyrus 66 supports the readings of the majority-text."

Remember, the majority-text is the source of the King James Version.

John W. Burgon, Dean of Chichester was a contemporary of Westcott and Hort. He said, "...the two manuscripts honored by Westcott and Hort are the most depraved."

Burgon went on to say, "...without a particle of hesitation, that B and D are two of the most scandalously mutilated texts which are anywhere to be met with: have become, by whatever process (for their history is wholly unknown), the depositories of the largest amount of fabricated readings, ancient blunders, and intentional perversions of truth, which are discovered in any known copies of the Word of God.

Finally, Burgon wrote concerning dissenting manuscripts Vaticanus (B), Sinaiticus (ALEPH), Bezae (D), and Papyrus 75: "All four are discovered on careful scrutiny to differ essentially, not only from the 99 out of 100 of the whole body of extant manuscripts, but even from one another." [End of quotes]

True religion is the true Living Book.  Be sure you own an Authorized King James Version of the Bible (online version).  In the book The New Evidence that Demands a Verdict, author J. McDowell makes this telling statement:

Professor M. Montierro-Williams, former Boden professor of Sanskrit, held this perspective:  After spending forty-two years studying Eastern books, he compared them with the Bible and said, “Pile them, if you will, on the left side of your study table; but place your own Bible on the right side—all by itself, all alone—and with a wide gap between them.  For…there is a gulf between it and the so-called sacred books of the East, which severs the one from the other utterly, hopelessly, and forever… A veritable gulf which cannot be bridged over by any science of religious thought.”   [End of quote]

True religion is a True book.
