Teleportation? Late Again

New science may be taking the first step in an effort to duplicate something close to the idea of teleportation, or as the Bible says, translation. If and when scientists ever arrive at this location, they will find that God has already been there — perfectly. God’s Word is true. Man trips over it on a relatively frequent basis.

Teleportation? Late Again

Article#: 853

How can these things be? How can all of God’s declarations of the supernatural and those things men consider bizarre, by today’s understanding, actually be true? Research continues to discover that God’s Word is true after all, regularly uncovering the unfathomable credibility of God’s Word. Men clamor for proof. It is here on this website over and over again! Thousands of years before science discovers the truth of an issue, the King of Glory declares it in His majority-text Holy Bible. Over 200 incredible proof subjects are on this website, and every Thursday eve, God willing, the number grows by one.

GodSaidManSaid offers highly controversial topics such as:

The 6,000+ year-old earth

Man made from dirt

One original mom and dad

Noah’s arkDinosaurs

Olive oil

Israel restored as a nation

Stress shifting

Giants on the earth

Fiery flying serpents

The perfect diet

The missing day

...and on and on, over and over again.

The psalmist spoke well in Psalms 19:9-11:

9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.

10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

Do you know how to get to Heaven from here? Take a piece of paper and a pen. In the 10-second pause that follows, write down your answer. Are you ready? Here we go.

Look at your answer. Are you confident your answer is the correct one?

Many years ago while in college, I sat in a sociology class where the professor asked, "How do you get to Heaven?" In this class there were approximately 30 students boasting 600 or so years of pew-sitting. With all the aggregate wealth of Christian knowledge in this class, surely someone would be able to answer this simplistic question. If not, the instructor, of course, would have the answer.

One student raised his hand and said that if you obey the Ten Commandments and go to church regularly, you’ll go to Heaven. Another student raised a hand and suggested living a good life and not harming anyone would assure one a Heavenly billet. No other options were suggested. The professor asked for a vote. The class, including the professor, with the exception of myself and maybe two others, voted for the two answers on the board. Then I raised my hand, and when the professor acknowledged me I asked, "Would you accept Jesus Christ as an authority on how to get to Heaven?"

He answered, "I guess we would have to, wouldn’t we?"

Before I continue, look at your piece of paper again. Are you sure your answer is the correct one?

I then answered the professor saying, "Yes, of course." And I continued, "The two answers on the blackboard are incorrect. Jesus Christ said in John 3:3, ‘Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.’ Seeing and entering the Kingdom of God requires the born-again experience."

Because of our carnal Adamic root, we were born dead in trespasses and sins—spiritually stillborn (Ephesians 2:1). Jesus Christ, known Biblically as the last Adam (I Corinthians 15:45), made a way of escape through His shed blood for all who would believe upon His name and follow Him in His Word. We are quickened—made alive by God’s spirit. We are born unto God as new creatures in Christ Jesus, and thus appropriately titled "born again"—born a second time. We were born wrong the first time. We needed the new birth and a new Gather, who is God. If you haven’t yet been born-again, click on to "Further With Jesus" on this website for entrance into the Kingdom of God. NOW FOR TODAY’S SUBJECT.

GOD SAID, Acts 8:35-40:

35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.

36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?

37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

39 And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.

40 But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea.

GOD SAID, Hebrews 11:5:

By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

MAN SAID:  The Bible is an irrelevant conglomeration of the writings of mere men, laden with fiction and flawed directives of old, archaic societies.

Now THE RECORD. The pseudo-wise regularly belittle the Word of God by holding themselves and academia as the fountain of truth and revelation. In regard to truth, they are incapable of defining it, thus not able to recognize it when confronted with it. Their revelation is merely the discovering of something God has already done. Their invention is an attempt to copy that which God has already created. How dynamic and lofty does that sound?

New discoveries today are again attempting to understand and copy the handiwork of God. Thousands of years before science fiction began to entertain its audience with the concept of teleportation, God employed a principle known Biblically as "Translation." One of Noah Webster’s definitions of "translated" is "conveyed from one place to another." Another definition of the word, found in Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible, is "modified variously according to the case with which it is joined." [End of quote]

The Old Testament man of God, Enoch, pleased God so much that God supernaturally took him unto Himself so that Enoch did not see death. Enoch was translated, and simply disappeared from amongst men. Genesis 5:24 reads:

And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

Philip the Evangelist, after baptizing the Ethiopian eunuch, was caught away by the Spirit of God and was found at Azotus. He was translated—conveyed from one place to another.

Jesus Christ, after His resurrection from the dead, appeared to two disciples on the way to Emmaus. Luke 24:31 occurs as He breaks bread with them that evening.

And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.

As bizarre as these accounts may sound, new science may be taking the first step in an effort to duplicate something close to this idea. An October 2004 headline in Discover magazine reads, "One Step Closer to Teleportation." The following excerpt is from that article:

Teleportation, the science-fiction fantasy of moving objects instantaneously through space from one location to another, has become reality—an achievement both more subtle and spectacular than many early news reports indicated. "This has nothing to do with ’Beam me up, Scotty,’" says experimental physicist Rainer Blatt of the University of Innsbruck in Austria. "What we’re doing is transferring all that we can know of one atom to another atom at a different site, so that the final atom becomes indistinguishable from the first.  [End of quote]

Again the article reports:

Teleportation allows the computational bits to communicate and pass along information without having to be in physical contact with each other. Physicists have previously teleported data using photons — particles of light—but photons are soon absorbed by whatever they strike. "With atoms, we can store the information for a long time," Blatt says.

If and when scientists ever arrive at this location, they will find that God has already been there—perfectly. God’s Word is true. Man trips over it on a relatively frequent basis.
