Fearfully and Wonderfully Made
The marvels of the human body continually reveal the hand of God. The body has eleven organ systems, four basic body tissues and dozens of different specialized cells. The human body has an estimated 75 trillion cells. There are nearly 700 muscles. Two-hundred and six bones make up the skeleton with over half of them in the hands and feet. Each human body is programmed for two sets of teeth. There is a 60,000 mile network of vessels making up the circulatory system--that’s two-and-a-half times around the earth. In a human lifetime, the heart pumps 50,320,000 gallons of blood through the circulatory system. Surely we are fearfully and wonderfully made.Audio Options: | MP3 |
Fearfully and Wonderfully Made
Taking things for granted is common to us all. The fact that with pen in hand I can convert thoughts into written letters making words is taken for granted. What is equally marvelous, and which we also take for granted, is that you are able to read these words and convert them to thoughts. Our brains then take the thoughts and convert them to action or store them away for another day. I find that ability to be a source of wonder. Our God has created this ability in us. Blessed be His holy name. Now for today's subject.
GOD SAID in Psalms, Chapter 139, Verse 14:
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
God says we are fearfully and wonderfully made. Moses speaks the word of God in Exodus, Chapter 15, Verse 11:
Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?
MAN SAID that God didn't make anything. We are a product of the Big Bang which materialized out of nothing. There is no God.
Now THE RECORD. We are fearfully and wonderfully made. Charles Darwin, the father of modern day evolution, said in his book, The Origin of Species:
If it could be demonstrated that any complex organ existed which could not possibly have been formed by numerous, successive, slight modifications, my theory would absolutely break down.
Six years after Darwin's statement, the father of modern genetics, Gregor Mendel, did in fact show the impossibility of Darwin's position. Unfortunately, it wasn't until thirty-five years later that his discoveries began to be published. Mendel's work is foundational to present day understanding of DNA. DNA is the exact blueprint of the human body; it's the building instructions, the plan of development. Thousands of years before science began to discover the secrets of DNA, God defines it perfectly in Psalms, Chapter 139, Verses 15-16:
My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
Scientists state that if the code in your DNA were converted to paper, it would take 500,000 tightly typed pages to contain its instructions. Concerning DNA, Dr. A. Gillen said in his book on the human anatomy:
It is a mathematical absurdity to suggest that billions of complex cells could all coordinate their precise molecular activities by blind chance and natural selection.
Dr. Gillen continues:
The whole mechanism of DNA replication would fail if every integral part were not present; so the idea of descent with modification is invalid in that all parts had to be present or no function would exist.
That means evolution is not possible.
Author, researcher and mathematician I. L. Cohen wrote the book, Darwin Was Wrong—A Study in Possibilities, and made this telling statement:
At that moment, when the RNA/DNA system became understood, the debate between Evolutionists and Creationists should have come to a screeching halt.
Here's another marvel to consider: the DNA necessary to code all the humans on this earth might fit into a space no larger than an aspirin tablet. For more information on this subject, click "DNA, God's Holy Book," on this website. Yes, we are fearfully and wonderfully made.

The renowned scientist Sir Isaac Newton said:
In the absence of any other proof, the thumb alone would convince me of God's existence.
The human hand has been called the most sophisticated tool in the human body. Imagine it being employed by the brain surgeon in the most delicate procedure, to the often necessary uses of the pickax and shovel. It brings food to the mouth and brings the touch of compassion to those in pain. Another statement by Gillen in his book, Body By Design, reads:
Orthopedic surgeons could write many manuals suggesting various ways to repair hands that have been injured. Yet, there has never been a surgical technique that succeeded in improving the movement in a normal healthy hand.
Fearfully and wonderfully made.
Consider the marvels of the hearing ear and the seeing eye, or the phenomenal wisdom of the digestive and excretory systems. Now consider the unspeakable power of the brain, the taken-for-granted automatic functions of the body, and the onboard thermostat that keeps the body at the ideal temperature regardless of external conditions.

Now you have THE RECORD.
