The Literal Difference Is Staggering (Part One)
It is important to note that every commandment of God has inherent within it a blessing or a curse. The Word of God is inerrant truth. To obey God’s words is to reap the benefits of doing the right thing. Rejecting the truth places one on the south side of good things. In the commandments and statutes of God are found the secrets of life, and life more abundantly. To disregard them, as in all truth, is to do so at one’s own peril.Audio Options: | MP3 |
The Literal Difference Is Staggering (Part One)
To the redeemed, God’s Word is a lamp unto their feet. Psalms 119:105:
...Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
God’s Word is the true Light. John 1:6-9:
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
Of Jesus Christ, Revelation 19:13 records:
And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
Jesus Christ is the Light of the World. Jesus Christ is the Word of God. To reject Him is to be doomed to darkness and stumbling. Proverbs 4:19:
The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.
Dear visitor, have you embraced the true Light? Would you like to literally see the Light? Matthew 4:16:
The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.

GOD SAID, Psalms 91:7-11:
7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
GOD SAID, Proverbs 30:5:
Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
GOD SAID, Deuteronomy 4:5-10:
5 Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it.
6 Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.
7 For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for?
8 And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?
9 Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons’ sons;
10 Specially the day that thou stoodest before the LORD thy God in Horeb, when the LORD said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.
MAN SAID: We have no need of the restraining and convicting words of the Bible. It is simply the rants of mere men. We will do what pleases us.
Now THE RECORD. The Word of God is so gloriously literal. But only the childlike can see its Light. This is GodSaidManSaid feature article #495. Each of these features proclaims the inerrancy of the Textus Receptus (the received text) — the Authorized King James Version of the Holy Bible. Each of these features is archived in text and streaming audio. Every Thursday eve, God willing, it grows by one. Welcome to GodSaidManSaid. We’re so glad you’ve come.
The Word of God is literal. It is literal physically or literal spiritually, and sometimes both. When to flip the switch is readily noted. How can a passage such as Psalms 91:7-11be literally true?
7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
It is important to note that every commandment of God has inherent within it a blessing or a curse. The Word of God is inerrant truth. Obeying God’s words is to reap the benefits of doing the right thing. Rejecting the truth places one on the south side of good things. God spoke to Cain before Cain slew his brother Abel in Genesis 4:7:
If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door...
Moses, as noted in the beginning of this feature, speaks of the magnificent, supernatural, fruit-bearing commandments of God in Deuteronomy 4:5-8:
5 Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it.
6 Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.
7 For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for?
8 And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?
In the commandments and statutes of God are found the secrets of life, and life more abundantly. To disregard them, as in all truth, is to do so at one’s own peril.
Let’s take a look at how it works — on how Psalms 91:10 works:
There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
Let’s take a look at sin that lieth at the door:
(1.) The situation: God commands for male children to be circumcised in the Old Testament, and now doctors in Africa have discovered that this procedure is their most effective weapon against AIDS, because it reduces the infection risk by half. It will save millions of lives.

In the camp of the disobedient: Those negatively affected: millions of deaths.
In the camp of the obedient: Those negatively affected: zero.
(2.) The situation: God commands against the consumption of alcoholic beverages.
In the camp of the disobedient: Those negatively affected: 13,000,000 Americans are alcoholics. One hundred thousand alcohol-related deaths are expected this year.
In the camp of the obedient: Those negatively affected: zero.
(3.) The situation: God strictly commands against fornication of any kind including bestiality, premarital sex, adultery, homosexuality, etc.
In the camp of the disobedient: In the U.S., those negatively affected: 70,000,000 cases of genital herpes and HPV, 5,000,000 with chlamydia, 1,100,000 with gonorrhea, 1,000,000 with HIV, 45,000 cases of AIDS each year, 300,000 with Hepatitis B, and 120,000 with syphilis.
In the camp of the obedient: Those negatively affected: zero, zero, zero, zero, zero, zero, zero.
(4.) The situation: God commands men against even looking upon a woman to lust after her, and of course this includes women looking upon men.
In the camp of the disobedient: Those in the U.S. negatively affected: 20,000,000 are addicted to porn, contributing to more than half of all divorces.
In the camp of the obedient: Those negatively affected: zero.
(5.) The situation: God instructs His people to consume olive oil and butter, for example, contrary to man’s infatuation with deadly trans fats.
Margarine and Nutritional Armageddon
In the camp of the disobedient: In the past 40 years in the U.S. alone, those negatively affected in the camp of the disobedient: 1,200,000 premature deaths.
In the camp of the obedient: Those negatively affected: zero.
(6.) The situation: God directs His children to eliminate fear and stress by shifting it to Christ via childlike faith, positive reframing, and applying the supernatural secret of power-speaking.

In the camp of the disobedient: Those negatively affected: billions.
In the camp of the obedient: Those negatively affected: zero.
This small list of examples does not take into consideration the glorious power of the prayer of faith, or the laying on of hands, or of casting out devils and more, which the camp of the disobedient cannot access.

Zechariah 12:10 (KJV)
And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
