Incest
God Said, “Yes.” Satan said, “No.” God creates. Satan destroys. God is life. Satan is death. God is light. Satan is darkness, etc., etc. If you ever want to locate Satan’s position, simply go to the opposite of God. God is peace. Satan is turmoil. God is love. Satan is hate – always 180 degrees out from God. In all of life there are only two camps to choose from, just as there were two trees in the garden of Eden. One was the “tree of life” and the other, from which Adam and Eve were commanded not to eat, was the “tree of the knowledge of good and evil.” Eating of the second tree resulted in death. Align yourself with the camp of life. Choose Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, the only source of salvation, and live life more abundantly. Choosing wrong results in spiritual death here on Earth, and cognizant death and punishment eternally. GOD SAID, Leviticus, chapter 18, verse 6:
None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness: I am the LORD.
This practice, of course, is known as incest.
MAN SAID: Incest should not be a crime. It is sometimes beneficial, and the rate of incidence is so high, prohibiting it is absurd.
Now THE RECORD. Incest defined by Webster’s 1828 American Dictionary of the English Language reads: “Incest, the crime of cohabitation or sexual commerce between persons related within the degrees wherein marriage is prohibited by the law of a country.” [End of quote] Leviticus, chapter 18, verses 4-13:
- 4
0Ye shall do my judgments, and keep mine ordinances, to walk therein: I am the LORD your God.
- 5
Ye shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments: which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am the LORD.
- 6
None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness: I am the LORD.
- 7
The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
- 8
The nakedness of thy father’s wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father’s nakedness.
- 9
The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, whether she be born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover.
- 10
The nakedness of thy son’s daughter, or of thy daughter’s daughter, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover: for theirs is thine own nakedness.
- 11
The nakedness of thy father’s wife’s daughter, begotten of thy father, she is thy sister, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
- 12
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father’s sister: she is thy father’s near kinswoman.
- 13
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother’s sister: for she is thy mother’s near kinswoman.
Incest is a terrible act. Laws are on the books that prohibit such acts but incest is ever so common and for various reasons, rarely is legal action taken against the crime. Research indicates that 16% of American women alone have been sexually abused by a relative before they reach the age of 18 and four and a half percent of women have been sexually abused by their fathers. According to this research, over six million American women have been sexually abused by their own fathers and the fruit of this disobedience is devastating.
God’s commandments and punishments concerning incest are very clear. Even by design, God has created natural barriers to protect against the probability of incestuous acts. There is a built-in aversion to incest among close family members such as father-to-daughter, mother-to-son, brother-to- sister, etc., known in the field of biology as imprinting. Imprinting’s effect is the lack of mutual sexual interest. But even in spite of this, the rebellious spirit of man frequently jumps the barrier. This barrier has been breached in many homes with the situation only being exacerbated by the enormous prevalence of titillating sexual content in all areas of communication mediums including the "dirty" parts of the web. Unclean (contagious) sexual spirits have possessed vast numbers of the sons and daughters of Adam and the only end in sight is eternal damnation.
The following excerpt is from the 1994 book, “Rocking the Cradle of Sexual Politics:”
A group of men, all with M.D. or Ph.D. after their names, were speaking about "positive incest." They were labeled the “pro-incest lobby.” Their claim was that “the rate of incidence is so high as to make prohibition absurd.”John Money, of Johns Hopkins University, was quoted in 1980 as saying, “A childhood sexual experience, such as being the partner of a relative or of an older person, need not necessarily affect the child adversely.” Wardell Pomeroy, coauthor of the original Kinsey reports, was quoted as saying, “It is time to admit that incest need not be a perversion or a symptom of mental illness.” Adding, “Incest between . . . children and adults . . . can sometimes be beneficial.”
It should be no surprise that when God condemns a deed, some members of academia will rise up to challenge his wisdom. As in every such situation, God and His Word are vindicated as truth.
As mentioned earlier, the reaping of the wicked sowing of incest is devastating. The following information is from the book, “Pockets of Craziness:”
A myriad of mental disturbances are caused by incest. They were identified in the late 1800s by Sigmund Freud as he worked with women who reported that they had been molested by a family member. The primary mental problems from which adult survivors suffer include∙ depression∙ severe mood swings∙ anxiety∙ compulsive disorders∙ phobias∙ hallucinations∙ sleep disturbances∙ flashbacks∙ dissociative problems∙ addictions
The authors go on to articulate how these mental problems as a result of incest manifest themselves. Again, from the book:
DepressionDepression can be identified as homicidal feelings turned toward oneself. It can be further described as feeling powerless to change one’s circumstances. The anger created by those helpless feelings is, again, directed toward oneself.Depression is present in child incest victims because they always feel responsible for their abuse and helpless to express their anger toward their abusers, a feeling that they carry into adulthood. Many survivors have had suicidal thoughts or have actually attempted suicide. Still others, sadly, have completed the act.Mood SwingsSurvivors experience severe mood swings that cannot be traced to a biological cause.AnxietyAnxiety is a state of extreme worry. Similar to phobias, anxiety centers on a fear about projected harm to oneself or loved ones. Physical signs of anxiety include sweaty palms, difficulty catching one’s breath, and a racing heartbeat. Anxiety may be the result of having been prey to unexpected sexual violations in childhood.Compulsive BehaviorCompulsive behavior is an action one feels forced to repeat over and over. Examples include hand washing, cleaning, cutting oneself, pulling out one’s hair, using laxatives, or seeking excessive sexual gratification. Eating disorders like bulimia and anorexia are also examples. These behaviors are attempts to regain control of one’s life and to purge oneself of the feeling of shame.PhobiasPhobias are excessive fears or feelings of dread. For example, survivors may fear being alone or being physically placed in a compromising place.HallucinationsSurvivors may experience auditory or visual hallucinations. Auditory hallucinations can include booming reverberations, someone calling, footsteps, or children crying. Visual hallucinations can include seeing shadowy figures, usually out of the corner of the eye. Survivors most often became aware of these figures when they are resting.Sleep DisturbancesSleep disturbances can manifest as nightmares with death or violent themes. Such dreams awaken survivors, who are shaken and perspiring.FlashbacksThese images appear as pictures in the mind of the survivor. They emerge suddenly, leaving survivors feeling overwhelmed and disoriented.DissociationDissociation protects the survivor by denying her painful experiences. Daydreaming, intellectualizing, splitting, viewing ideas as all good or all bad, projecting personal experiences onto other people, assuming one or more different personalities, and memory lapses are all symptomatic of dissociative behavior.AddictionsThe abuse or habitual use of alcohol and other addictive substances is common among adult survivors of incest.

Researchers on incest claim the physical ramifications of this wickedness can include:
∙
- Gynecological conditions
∙
- Breathing problems
∙
- Serious skin rashes
∙
- Back pain
∙
- Stomach ailments
∙
- Severe headaches
∙
- Physical pressure on various body parts
GodSaidManSaid has received inquiries concerning what appears to be a scriptural contradiction regarding God’s commandments on matters of incest, pointing to Cain’s marrying of his sister. However, there is no contradiction. Originally, brother-sister marriage was permitted by God, for the purpose of populating the earth. If it were not that way, who could they marry? It was Adam and Eve, then Cain and Abel and their brothers and sisters who were first born on the earth. The commandment against brother-sister marriage, for example, is penned approximately 2,500 years after Adam opened his eyes. One of the primary problems of marrying close family members is the increased likelihood of inheriting what’s known as lethal recessive genes. The following excerpt is from an August 2003 article by Richard Conniff in DiscoverMagazine:
The great hazard on inbreeding is that it can result in the unmasking of deleterious recessives, to use the clinical language of geneticists. Each of us carries an unknown number of genes – an individual typically has between five and seven – capable of killing our children or grandchildren. These so-called lethal recessives are associated with diseases like cystic fibrosis and sickle-cell anemia. Most lethal genes never get expressed unless we inherit the recessive form of the gene from both our mother and father. But when both parents come from the same gene pool, their children are more likely to inherit two recessives.
Again, the feature article points out that if the original parents handed down a healthy genome, such as the perfect combination of Adam and Eve, their descendants could intermarry for generations safely. The article continues:
At least until small deleterious effects inevitably began to pile up and produce inbreeding depression, a long-term decline in the well-being of a family or species.
- [End of quote]
No contradiction then, simply a commandment whose time had come.
The horrendous effects of incest already cited did not include child deformity, mental illness, mental retardation, various devastating diseases, early death, etc. Thousands of years before medical science knew why, God condemned the acts of incest in His Holy Bible, the book much of academia claims is of little value and was written by mere men.
Many of you reading this article have been affected by incest. You need to know that there is forgiveness, deliverance, and healing for this terrible evil. Seek Jesus Christ in prayer and delve into God’s Word and with God’s ministers for counseling in this matter. He will not fail you. Align yourself with a full-gospel church and attend every possible meeting. Study your majority-text King James Bible daily and confess Christ to others. You will surely overcome.
