The redeemed know this promise as the blessed hope, and this hope is eternal life in Christ Jesus. The Apostle Paul wrote of a life without this hope in I Corinthians 15:32:
If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.
The carnal fact is that man lives in a hopeless condition, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Speaking of a carnal life, Ecclesiastes 1:2 reads:
Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity.
Vanity means “empty, zero, or no eternal value, wasted time.” Life outside of Jesus Christ, the blessed hope, is wasted time with no good eternal value, but God has made a better way, and Jesus calls it born-again. Born-again is a place where all things change. This is where real life begins. II Corinthians 5:17:
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
It’s at this place called born-again where vanity is replaced with eternal purpose, where one is born into the house of God and given a new name. It’s here where the redemption of wasted time takes place. Ephesians 5:14-16:
14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

These are the very last days — very dark days, when evil men shall wax worse and worse. II Timothy 3:1-5:
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
The LORD God spoke everything into existence with His glorious words. Therefore, His words are everything, and faith in His words, for the believer, is everything — simply everything. These are the very last days, and Satan’s incessant, orchestrated attack on your faith is intensifying. But be assured of this one thing: God’s words, every single one, are true and righteous altogether, and no matter how hard carnaldom challenges, their champions consistently, and without fail, fall before the words of God.
This is the twelfth feature in the ongoing series on GodSaidManSaid titled, “It Is Just Pure Chance.” These features highlight marvelous commandments and insights found in the Word of God, written thousands of years before modern science began to understand, and they’re solid proof of the supernatural characteristics of holy writ. When academic unbelievers are confronted with perplexing contradiction to their anti-God positions, they will write it off as pure chance — a coincidence — without displaying the faintest blush. We will highlight an issue for your consideration and then one or a few GodSaidManSaid related features for your perusal.
Satan must challenge childlike faith, for childlike faith reigns triumphant over him. Childlike faith in Christ Jesus can cast out devils, speak with new tongues, heal the sick, deliver the lost, bind the strong man, cast mountains into the sea, lay hold on eternal life, and harness the very power of Jehovah Himself. Satan must attack childlike faith, for childlike faith surely spoils him.
When pseudo-science and carnal academia are confronted by amazing truths declared in the Word of God, thousands of years before modern knowledge began to deduce, the skeptics shout, “Coincidence! Just pure chance!” I am reminded of Jeremiah 6:15:
Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the LORD.

It’s just “pure chance” that the Scriptures teach that the first man, Adam, was made out of dirt. Job 10:9:
Remember, I beseech thee, that thou hast made me as the clay; and wilt thou bring me into dust again?
It’s just “pure chance” that the Hebrew meaning of the word Adam is “red dirt,” and that the ancient, non-Biblical Miautso tribe traced their genealogy back to the first man, and they said his name was Dirt.
It’s “just a coincidence” that the Bible teaches that God fills all things. God is the ALL and He is in the redeemed, and the redeemed in Him. John 17:21:
That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
I Corinthians 6:19:
What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
It’s just a “coincidence” that systems science has concluded the same. Dr. G.E. Schwartz, in the book, The G.O.D. Experiments, had this to say:
The subsystem/system/suprasystem organizational structure extends from subatomic particles to the universe as a whole. Stated simply, the Small is in the All. However systems science also teaches us the less obvious fact that the reverse can also be true—the All is in the Small. This is not only semantically true—the word “all” is literally in “small”—but it is organizationally and empirically true, too. [End of quote]
It’s just “pure chance” that academia’s ungodly are flummoxed by God’s miraculous creation and that Isaiah 59:10 speaks of man’s condition when he walks in unbelief. The prophet writes:
We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes: we stumble at noon day as in the night; we are in desolate places as dead men.
Jeremiah 13:16 reads:
Give glory to the LORD your God, before he cause darkness, and before your feet stumble upon the dark mountains, and, while ye look for light, he turn it into the shadow of death, and make it gross darkness.
They stumble at noon day. Steven Weinberg wrote in Science the following:
For there is a scientific problem even more fundamental than the origin of the universe. We want to know the origin of the rules that have governed the universe and everything in it. [End of quote]

It’s “just a coincidence” that thousands of years ago, God’s Word reported in Proverbs 17:22:
A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.
...and that today’s science has confirmed the same. Dr. Berk, a researcher at Loma Linda University School of Medicine’s Department of Clinical Immunology, has shown that laughter lowers serum cortisol levels. Cortisol is part of the body’s fight-or-flight response, but too much of it can dampen immune response and shut down the very process that attacks life-threatening microbes or keeps malignant cells from proliferating into an invasive tumor. Laughter also increases the amount of activated T lymphocytes, increases the number and activity of natural killer cells, and increases the number of T cells that carry helper, suppressor receptors. Simply put, the immune system is positively benefited by laughter.
The following is an excerpt from an article in Ladies Home Journal, titled “30 Days to More Self-esteem:”
The latest scientific research shows that all our thoughts create chemicals in our body, called neuropeptides. Happy thoughts produce chemicals that actually strengthen the body, and negative thoughts produce chemicals that weaken the body. [End of quote]
It’s “just a coincidence” that the headline in a 1997 issue of USAWeekend read, “More doctors insist: Laughter is a miracle drug.”
A Merry Heart or a Broken Spirit
More Life-Enhancing Information Pours In
It’s just “pure chance” that thousands of years ago Proverbs 17:22 was written:
A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

In an article in Psychology Today titled, “The Blues Are A Bone-Breaker,” research conducted by Dr. Ulrich Schweiger of the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry in Germany was cited. Schweiger measured bone density of 18 depressed, hospitalized men and women and another group of 21 patients who were free of depression. All were over the age of 40. The results were shocking. The research took place over a period of two years. At the end of two years, Schweiger compared the bone density of both groups. The depressed patients lost significantly more bone mass than the non-depressed. The following is a direct quote from Dr. Schweiger. He said, [It provides] “a vital link in explaining the increased mortality observed particularly in men with major depression.” [End of quote]
It’s just a “coincidence” that “a broken spirit drieth the bones.”
It’s just “pure chance” that nearly 4,000 years ago God commanded the males of the children of Israel to be circumcised, and that today’s science now confirms.
The following news release published November 6, 2006, by Reuters, says circumcision, loud and clear. The title of the release is, “Circumcision Cuts STD Risk, Major Study Finds.” The subhead reads, “25-year study finds substantial benefit to controversial procedure.” Following are a few excerpts:
Circumcised males are less likely than their uncircumcised peers to acquire a sexually transmitted infection, the findings of a 25-year study suggest.
According to the report in the November issue of Pediatrics, circumcision may reduce the risk of acquiring and spreading such infections by up to 50 percent, which suggests “substantial benefits” for routine neonatal circumcision.
The authors estimate that had routine neonatal circumcision been in place, the rate of sexually transmitted infections in the current cohort would have been reduced by roughly 48 percent.
This analysis shows that the benefits of circumcision for reducing the risk of sexually transmitted infection “may be substantial,” the authors conclude. [End of quote]
It’s just a “coincidence” that the prophet Daniel prophesied that in the very last days, wickedness would come to a full, and that a national drive is afoot, even being championed by President Obama himself, to recognize same-sex marriage.
