Many years ago, I sat in a sociology class in college. The instructor asked the class: “How do you get to heaven from here?” He polled the class and boiled the answers down to two:
1. Obey the Ten Commandments and go to church, and you’ll get to heaven.
2. Just be a good person and don’t harm others, and you’ll make it.
In the class, there were about 30 students representing about 600 years of Christian pew-sitting. All voted for Answer One or Answer Two with the exception of myself and another student or two. The “professor” sided with Answer One. I raised my hand and asked the “professor” if he would accept Jesus Christ as an authority on how to get to heaven. His answer was, “if you are a Christian, then yes, you’d have to.” I then explained that both answers on the blackboard were wrong, according to Jesus Christ.
Down through the years, I have recounted this story and asked countless people that same question: “How do you get to heaven from here?” Almost without exception, the wrong answer was given time and time again. It is imperative that this question be answered correctly because everything—absolutely everything—depends upon it.
Dear friend: “How do you get to heaven from here?” Place the audio on pause if you are listening and take a moment to think. Jot down your answer; look at your answer for a moment and reconsider it. Is that your final answer?
Back to the classroom. I told the “professor” that Jesus declares the absolutely definitive answer in John 3:3:
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Have you been born again? You were first born the son or daughter of Mr. and Mrs. So-and-So. When you are born the second time, you are born into the household of God as a son or daughter of God—born of His Spirit—and it all comes with a brand-new, day-one beginning with a birth certificate, a new Father, a new name, a new reason to live, a new glorious host of promises, and a new eternal inheritance—even joint heirs with Christ. Romans 8:15-17:
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
It is true, even if it sounds too good to be.
Born-again, that’s how you get to heaven from here. Again, have you been born again? This is not accomplished by joining a particular church and neither are you Christian at birth. Born-again is a separate and fully distinct event. At this place, the child of God repents of and forsakes sin, believing on the saving blood of Jesus Christ to cleanse him from all sin and its shame, and to deliver him from all of Satan’s bondages—the bigger they are, the harder they fall. At this place, the child of God makes an open confession that Jesus Christ is his Savior and Lord. At this place, the newly-minted child of God seeks a church that preaches the Word of God, buys an Authorized King James Version of the Holy Bible, and continues to follow Jesus Christ in water baptism by emersion.

Because Satan takes man according to his own will—and he releases no one—and because he is the invisible god (little g-o-d) of this earth, mankind is blind to his manipulations and bondages. But it is even more complicated than that.
We were sold by our parents, Adam and Eve, into sin, even conceived in iniquity. We needed a Redeemer—someone to buy us back and release us from the shackles of darkness—and that Redeemer was, is, and forever will be Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God.
To see the Light of salvation, which sparks the germination of the seed of faith, requires the preaching of the Cross and the conviction and wooing of the Holy Ghost to the place Jesus Christ calls “born again.” But to those who reject the Cross of Christ, another promise is given. Romans 1:28:
And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
A reprobate mind is a worthless mind.
The spiritual condition of darkness will accelerate at the time the Antichrist is revealed—and believe me, he is knock, knock, knocking at the door. II Thessalonians 2:8-12:
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Strong delusion is afoot and those who receive the Word of God in unbelief will readily believe a lie—it is, by the way, a matter of carnal inheritance. John 8:43-45:
43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.
Keep in mind: As the born-again sons and daughters of God, we were once where they are. We understand their vacuous thoughts and when we sat in darkness, we even participated. But one Hallelujah day, we SAW THE LIGHT! We know where they are, but they don’t have the foggiest idea where we are. We can see them; they can’t see us. In the soul-winning business, that’s a sizeable—as in huge—advantage, wouldn’t you say?
Just over 6,000 years ago, God began the earth’s creation process. When scientific research void of evolutionism’s assumptions is published, it confirms God’s Holy Word. This is feature number 6 in the GodSaidManSaid series titled, “The 6,000s,” which will once again certify 6,000 years.
Carnal academia will continue to fail in its vain struggle to prove the earth and its universe are billions of years old, for the very simple reason that it is not. The exquisitely accurate dating of famed chronologist Bishop Ussher pegs the beginning of God’s creation work to Sunday evening, September 21, 4004 BC. Add 2019 of AD years, and the number is 6023.
After “14 billion years” of evo-time, isn’t it a shock to you that today’s certified research shouts 6,000? That’s just 0.000004% of their purported time! How did all the great happenings that define life, language, social structure, and more get clumped into such a peanut-short period of time?
The title in the November 9, 2019 issue of Science News reads: “Burials Reveal Bronze Age Inequality.” Two paragraphs follow:
Families working the land in ancient Europe also cultivated social inequality. A pecking order of “haves” and “have-nots” living in the same household appeared among Bronze Age farmers by about 4,000 years ago, a study suggests.
Researchers have long assumed that central Europe’s Bronze Age, from about 4,200 to 2,800 years ago, witnessed rapid social change that prompted a split between wealthy, well-connected households and poor, struggling ones, says archaeologist and study coauthor Philipp Stockhammer. [End of quote]
China has a long affinity for the rosewood tree, many of which take centuries to grow to maturity, and which is a highly-desirable wood for making Chinese furniture. Again from Science News, November 9, 2019, under the heading “Tree Sleuths,” you’ll find this excerpt:
“Rosewood furniture is part of our great national culture with over 5,000 years of history,” says Wang, a 60-year-old retired government official who began collecting rosewood more than two decades ago. He’s not alone. [End of quote]
Over 500 ancient, non-Biblical societal records recount a flood like the one in the days of the Bible’s Noah, and the Scriptures make it clear that this flood was global and devastating. If the Bible is correct, there should be proof everywhere—and there is. In a previous feature, GodSaidManSaid addressed the skeptics’ challenge to the Bible: “If the whole earth was flooded, where did all the water go?” We cited research that stated that if the earth was smooth like a ball, the waters would tower above the earth’s surface for nearly two miles:
In an article in The Smithsonian written by James Trefil, under the heading, “Evidence for a Flood,” he reports on the research of Columbia University geologists Ryan and Pitman. Trefil reports on the research that claims that antediluvian “ocean levels were about 400 feet lower than they are today” and that “the east coast of the United States was 75 to 150 miles farther out than it is today, and places like Manhattan and Baltimore would have been inland cities.” [End of quote] Of course, this was a result of God opening the windows of heaven and pouring water down for forty days and forty nights.
The Bible says the flood was global. Some redundancy is necessary in this feature:

The following information is quoted from the November 2007 issue of Discover magazine under the title, “Did a Comet Cause the Great Flood?” This story reviews discoveries made by environmental archaeologist Bruce Masse of Los Alamos National Laboratory.
Masse’s biggest idea is that some 5,000 years ago, a 3-mile-wide ball of rock and ice swung around the sun and smashed into the ocean off the coast of Madagascar. The ensuing cataclysm sent a series of 600-foot-high tsunamis crashing against the world’s coastlines and injected plumes of superheated water vapor and aerosol particulates into the atmosphere. Within hours, the infusion of heat and moisture blasted its way into jet streams and spawned superhurricanes that pummeled the other side of the planet. For about a week, material ejected into the atmosphere plunged the world into darkness. All told, up to 80 percent of the world’s population may have perished, making it the single most lethal event in history. [End of quote]

Ancient Chinese accounts of their beginnings speak of a catastrophic flood that threatened the heavens from which a Noah-like hero emerges. This hero is God’s conduit for the salvation of mankind. According to the publications listed below, this event happened some 4,000 years ago.

The flood in the days of Noah took place approximately 4,367 years ago.

The following information is from an article titled, “Time, Life, and History in the Light of 25,000 Radiocarbon Dates:”
When carbon-14 data is “correctly” calibrated, and 25,000 radiocarbon dates are graphed, the results show evidence of a great peak of death about 4,000 years ago.

🌎 “You Can Run but You Can’t Hide: The Global Flood:”
The headline in the February 18, 2017 issue of Science News reads, “Ancient Deluge Drenched Sahara.” Excerpts follow:
Thousands of years ago, it didn’t just rain on the Sahara. It poured. Grasslands, trees, lakes, and rivers once covered North Africa’s now-arid, unforgiving landscape. Form about 11,000 to 5,000 years ago, much higher rainfall rates than previously estimated created that “Green Sahara,” say geologist Jessica Tierney of the University of Arizona in Tucson and colleagues. Extensive ground cover, combined with reductions of airborne dust, intensified water evaporation into the atmosphere, leading to monsoon-like conditions, the scientists report January 18 in Science Advances. Geologist Dr. Timothy Clarey reviews the latest research that absolutely certifies a global flood. The headline of his feature published in the March 2017 issue of Acts and Facts reads, “South America Shows the Flood Progression.” Excerpts follow:
New research confirms that the Flood recorded in Genesis was global. It also reflects the exact step-by-step Biblical account of the floodwaters’ progression.

Huge sand deposits are found across the United States, as in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, and Texas. This sand is mined for the purpose of glass making, hydraulic fracking, construction, and so much more. It is known that these sands are the remains of the ocean that once prevailed upon the earth.
As you read the following quips from Joe Taylor’s book, Fossil Facts & Fantasies, you’ll be impressed with the total global prevalence of Noah’s flood. It begins with a lengthy exposé on the globally ubiquitous marine creature called the Trilobite that was buried the earth over by a catastrophic flood. Excerpts from Taylor’s book follow:
Trilobites are complex. Because such vast numbers of so many species of trilobites have been perfectly preserved, we know a good deal about their structure. They resemble today’s “pill bugs” or horseshoe crabs and are listed as arthropods, like spiders and millipedes. They varied from a half-inch to nearly two feet in length. Their hard-jointed shells were like horseshoe crabs or lobsters, and they were apparently able to replace them annually. Many had a dozen pair of legs or more and their complicated compound eyes were one of their most astounding features. As Dr. Levi-Setti admits, the sophisticated diversity of the Cambrian explosion “is amazing.”
Some 2,000 species of trilobites are buried in the lower rocks in vast profusion all over the globe. They are found all over the United States, from California to New York, from Canada to Australia, and in the Sahara Desert in unimaginable numbers. Trilobites are found in California, Utah, Nevada, Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, Illinois, Ohio, Indiana, New York, Wisconsin, the Burgess Shale, Mississippi, Canada, British Columbia, Newfoundland, Ontario, Wales, Italy, Bohemia, Sweden, Scotland, Germany, England, Bolivia, Morocco, and in many other countries.
Sudden Burial. Trilobite tracks from Ohio give clear testimony of rapid burial. For these very fragile impressions made in wet mud to have been preserved for even a few moments, unaltered, something had to cover them very shortly after having been made.
Sudden Death in the Permian. The Permian formation is said to be 280 million years old. The strange lizards with huge fins or “sails” on their backs, Dimetrodons, were supposed to have evolved into the crocodiles in the Triassic fossil beds a hundred million years later. One would expect the “older” Permian animals to be at a lower depth, but while the Oklahoma Permian beds are only 10 to 20 feet below the surface, the Triassics of Texas (200 miles to the west) are 250 feet below the surface.
Both localities look the same, being comprised of layers of red and blue-grey clay and an orange layer on top containing mammoths and horses.
According to popular evolutionary ideas, there should be a thick layer of crocodiles (phytosaurs) on top of the Dimetrodons, but there isn’t.
In Texas, the Triassics are directly under the horse beds of Blanco Canyon. In Wyoming, they are directly under the dinosaur beds, yet this would mean that there are millions of years of strata missing between them.
In Wyoming, I found hadrosaur bones (of the Cretaceous group) directly on top of, or at the same level as, Triassic phytosaur teeth. You have to skip a “hundred million years” of strata to do that in the evolutionary construct.
Perhaps the Texas Triassics were wiped out before the Flood. The Cretaceous limestone south of Crosbyton does overlay them, but at Crosbyton, the Red Beds are directly overlaid by gravel containing mammoths, horses, bison, camels, and unreplaced closed clams and snails. There are “170 million” years missing!
The Triassics of San Jon, New Mexico were buried so quickly that little fish the size of goldfish were mummified. Some retained their iridescent gold and purple color. Their heads are a translucent clear.
Reportedly a coelacanth fish eight feet in length as well as huge phytosaurs (rutiodonts) are buried whole. Several complete skeletons of giant salamanders have been found together, just as they died, undisturbed.
Coelophysis, a Triassic theropod, is a small, deer-sized dinosaur of the Triassics from the Ghost Ranch in New Mexico. A thousand skeletons have been collected of it there alone. This suggests a sudden catastrophe.
Blue Mountain is near Dinosaur, Colorado, which is near The Dinosaur National Monument at Vernal, Utah. Dinosaur bones outnumber cattle in Colorado and Blue Mountain is a remote part of this area in northwestern Colorado. The nearest town is Dinosaur, which has a café and a post office. The folks in this area are tough, but friendly and they’ve seen lots of dinosaur bones. The topography is breathtakingly beautiful, with mountainous layers of the earth standing up on edge. Peaks rise a thousand feet high, made of beautiful layers of greys, mauves, reds, yellows, and blues. Incredible numbers of dinosaurs and forests lie buried in a thousand feet of once-liquid sediments covering millions of acres of Colorado. In fact, they cover an area from Wyoming to southern New Mexico, and from Utah to Oklahoma and Texas.
Triebold’s Triceratops is Triceratops prorsus from the South Dakota Hell Creek formation. Many ceratopsians and other animals were found buried in the area. (Triceratops means “three-horned face.”) It was a juvenile, but had a huge skull six feet long and four feet wide, and horns that were three feet long—adults have been found with skulls that were nine feet long!
The Gobi Desert. “It’s like a load of sand was dumped on them.” That is how paleontologist Amy Davidson described the fossil beds of the Gobi Desert.
The Gobi Desert is an area so vast that much of it is unexplored for fossils. Miss Davidson gave the paper on the expedition to China at the 1995 SVP.
“How many animal skeletons would you expect to find in a city block area?” I asked. “Oh…hundreds,” she said confidently, “it’s like a load of sand was dumped on them.”
And finally, Taylor reports:
Florida and South Carolina contain an endless supply of mastodons, horses, and huge sloths, along with shark teeth without end, and, of course, the whales. Some farmers in the deep South made fences out of fossil whale bones! [End of quotes]
Millions upon millions of square miles of the earth’s crust and trillions upon trillions of entombed creatures bear the mark of Genesis 7:21-23:
21 And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man:
22 All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died.
23 And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.
Yet, the children of the Antichrist bury their heads in the sand, clearly demonstrating a spirit of strong delusion—the result of the deceivableness of unrighteousness as described in II Thessalonians, Chapter 2.
There was a devastating global flood of judgment which occurred 1,656 years after the first man, Adam, opened his eyes. God’s Word is true and righteous altogether—every jot and every tittle—a place to build a life that will last forever.
